Keepin' it real!

I wouldn't be a good Mississippi girl if I didn't keep my kids how to:

Make a "redneck water park" in the backyard (or, in this case, the carport)......

I actually heard Reese say "Hey ya'll, watch this!"

John was a little leary of the slide---so he just splashed around and enjoyed getting wet.

...while Cash enjoyed a little downtime without the kids bugging him to death.

And, of course, any girl of mine needs to know how to hop in the back of a truck....

Fun times outside----so glad the warm weather is here!!!

And in the good ol' Southern church tradition....

We wouldn't be going to a Southern church without the end of the year Wednesday night children's choir performance. I'm sure other areas of the country do this too---I've just always associated Weds. night choir with my own upbringing.

Here's the video...

Before church, we played a little outside. Can't blame a mama for wanting to tire her kids out a little, can you? Even if she realizes that they may get dirty before church. A small price to pay for the promise of a early night-night, my friends.

Before Reese came out to sang, Dutch taught John the beautiful meaning of the respect and sanctity of the sanctuary...

Clearly, John took it to heart and now dreams of one day preaching from a pulpit just like this one...

In all seriousness, I thought Reese did very well and I was very proud of her.
Love you, Reese!

A whole lotta video--part 1

ok--so I FINALLY got some of my videos of the kids uploaded...so I'll share some here and try to get a few more uploaded in the next couple of days.

2 things:

1--pause the music at the bottom of the blog before you start watching one of the videos.

2--if you are looking for exciting, quality video...you can stop reading now...this post ain't for you.

This video is from Reese's preschool's Mother's Day program. It was too cute. Reese is in the green dress with pigtails..

Here is one from her spring program from Community Bible Study...

Our first visit to McWane Center....

Reese LOVED this ball/air thing. John loved the ball/water thing. (Yes, those are the technical names of the devices.)
